It boasts the highest altitude (1,637 meters) in Akita. It is a general term for Omedake, Ondake, Onnadake, etc., and is a famous mountain at the southern end of Towada Hachimantai National Park along with Mt. It is a treasure trove of hundreds of alpine plants that are said to be the best in northern Japan with a wonderful view.
From the summit, you can overlook the magnificent mountains such as Mt. Chokai and Mt. Iwate and Lake Tazawa, which shines in lapis lazuli.
